Welcome to GatesFamily.net! This Website was created with the intent of sharing pictures, video clips, and family information on the web. Eventually we intend to allow other family members to link to our site and add pictures of their own. While I have had the gatesfamily.net name reserved for three months now, the sheer amount of photographs that we acquired through our wedding prompted the creation of this site, making it easier for us to share these pictures with everyone.
Technical Information This site has been tested with Netscape Navigator 4.x, IE 5.x and IE 6.x. Both browsers produced nearly identical results. Most of the pictures were taken with a Olympus D-450Z, an excellent digital camera and value. The D-450Z has since been outdated by many newer models. With the addition of our little girl to the family, I also purchased a new Canon Digital Elph S400. The picture quality is at least as good as my D-450 and it's also a 4 megapixel camera. Certainly, the size can't be beat. Of course most of this does not matter by the time I decrease the quality and post these pictures to the web. Some of the wedding pictures were scanned with an HP ScanJet and many of the initial puppy pictures were scanned by Kodak when the film was processed.
